Who We Are Seeking

Fineman West & Company is seeking a full-time, experienced bookkeeper, who will be able to maintain and build upon close relationships with clients, and have the desire to grow professionally. Fineman West & Company helps facilitate career growth within the company and accounting business by providing mentorship opportunities and the ability to expand job responsibilities. The bookkeeper will be someone who has the drive to be proactive within the Firm to continuously grow and expand their skills, and who efficiently represents the Firm’s vision through their performance and communication with clients.

What You Will Do

  • Keep in constant communication with clients and build and maintain client relationships
  • Set up company file in QuickBooks, including establishment or chart of accounts
  • Create/review monthly/quarterly/annually profit and loss and balance sheet statements
  • Enter monthly deposits, payments, payables and receivables
  • Enter monthly credit card transactions
  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries and accruals
  • Prepare and file clients’ annual business tax license renewals
  • Prepare and file annual personal property tax statements
  • Prepare financial reports in the firm’s format by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
  • Maintaining historical records by filing documents
  • File sales tax returns (monthly/quarterly/annually)

How You Will Be a Perfect Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Superior data entry skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must have expert communication skills, written and verbal
