Wendy discussed how the company she first started her career off in closed during the post-9/11 recession, leaving her unemployed and requiring her to pivot and adapt. She revealed that having professional contacts was key to her success in a very competitive market. “Things are constantly changing and there may be events that are beyond your control that will affect you personally and professionally,” Wendy shared. “You have to learn to be able to adjust to change and retool if necessary.”
