Proposition 30: Sales Tax Increase Initiative January 1, 2017 Expiration

Dear Clients and Friends,
The Proposition 30 sales tax increase initiative, which was approved by voters in 2012, has expired effective January 1, 2017. The expiration of the proposition will affect only the California state tax rate with a decrease of .25%, while the total tax rate in certain cities and counties will remain higher than the statewide rate due to local voter-approved district taxes.
